Luciana CecilleSoprano Luciana Cecille, a native of Sao Paolo, Brazil. Opera roles include Anne Sexton in Conrad Susa's Transformations, Nina in Massenet's Cherubin, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, First Knaben in Die Zauberflote, and the title role in Ravel's L'enfant et les Sortileges. With the Peabody Opera Theater, she created the role of Lilia in the premiere of Mark Lanz Weiser's Where Angels Fear to Tread, an opera based on an E. M. Forster novel.

In 1999, Ms. Cecille debuted with The Washington Opera as Bridget Booth in The Crucible. In April 2003, she sang the Soprano solo in Rutter's Gloria under the baton of John Rutter at the Kennedy Center, and recently was featured in Handel's Messiah with J. Reilly Lewis. In May 2006, Luciana sang the role of Forest Bird in Siegfried with the Emerging Singer's Program under Evelyn Lear and Tom Stewart. Luciana was recently a finalist in the Leyla Gencer Vocal Competition in Istanbul, Turkey.
